Most of girls in Africa regularly misses there classes due to there monthly flow which normally cause them embarrassment with there colleagues in schools. This often happens to girls who can not afford to buy the sanitary towels due to lack of money, they therefore opt to stay back at home during there periods which normally varies in days till it stops. During these periods they miss there lessons and there as a result lag behind there fellow students.
Mid this year (2017) we hosted a team from Abroad (U.S.A and U.K) that trained our local women and girls on how to make re-usable sanitary pads for the girls and women also they trained on making tot bags of different designs and cloths
This project aims also to create employment to women and girls by making bags and selling to the local market and cloths.
This project will go along side giving hope to the community by enabling our girls in schools never again to leave the school going days due to there monthly flow, the re- usable sanitary pads are supposed to be used in a duration of three years.
